I feel that masks completely change how I react to an image of a nude. The mask overrides everything else. The picture becomes about the mask, and I react to the person as the embodiment of the mask, rather than as another naked body. The whole feel of the image is instantly changed because something has replaced the person's face.
But the really important thing is I still get to see someone naked.
